RIFCO Arts’ new production It Aint All Bollywood is coming to Bradford's Alhambra Theatre next week.

The exclusive 2 for 1 production incorporates beautiful scenes from the award winning Bollywood film Veer Zaara starring Shah Rukh Khan within the moving theatrical production.

These scenes physically transplant the lead character Kiran into the colourful world of Bollywood, allowing her to hide from the harshness of her own surroundings and her neurotic overbearing mother.

However, the ring of the door bell and rekindling of an old friendship start to bring Kiran back from the dance numbers in the fields and into reality.

After the success of previous productions The Deranged Marriage and There’s Something About Simmy, It Aint All Bollywood proved a great success at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival before the nationwide tour in Autumn 2008.

The production is supported by a top class team, written and directed by Pravesh Kumar, the brains behind the overwhelmingly successful play The Deranged Marriage and with Andy Kumar, choreographer and show co-ordinator for India’s equivalent of Britain’s Next Top Model “Get Gorgeous” flying over especially!

It Aint All Bollywood is the story of Kiran, who escapes into the colourful world of Bollywood to hide from the harshness of her surroundings and her overbearing neurotic mother.

The Bollywood songs and drama take her into a dream world, far from the real dramas at home.

The ring of the door bell and rekindling of an old friendship start to bring Kiran back to realitywhere she is forced to deal with the truth.

Rifco Art's It Ain't All Bollywood will be on at the Alhambra Theatre from the 4-8 November. Evenings 7.30pm, Wed mat 2pm & Sat mat 2.30pm. For tickets call 01274 432000.
