A taxi driver was stabbed in Clayton.
At 10.10pm on Monday 5 January 2009, police were called to Barrington Street, Clayton following reports a man had been stabbed.
Officers attended and discovered a 61-yeaar-old man had been stabbed in his side.
One of the offenders ran up Barrington Street in the direction of Vale Street and another offender ran in the direction of Whiteley Street.
Both are described as white men.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are described as serious but not life threatening.
Two men aged 21 and 22 have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and remain in police custody for questioning.
