How can a number plate be a threat?
28/ 3/2003
I read your front-page story about the "Paki" number-plate with some amusement.
If you think about it - its actually quite funny how he's been stopped 20 times just because his number plate says 'Paki' - exactly what do the police think he is - he's not a drug dealer, obviously not white, he's certainly not a terrorist so why stop him?
How can he be a threat just because of his number plate.
Would a white man with a registration plate spelling out 'English' or 'Brit' get stopped 20 times by the police? I don't think so.
Would a French driving around with a plate saying 'French' get pulled up - no not really.
Yet a Pakistani man driving around with his "Paki" plate gets stopped all the time.
Make's you think twice about the real intentions of the police.
