Free Iraq from‘bully’ US
1/11/2004
IT seems now that the reason for the invasion of Iraq by US and
British troops was not to free Iraqis, not WMD and not even to
remove Saddam Hussain, but to create a base in the country to
protect Israel and bully the oil rich Middle East states into
following US domination policy.
So the sooner we have Bush and Blair out of office the
better.
Iraq now needs to be freed from US and British militarism while any
new US or British government should concentrate on domestic issues
such as more jobs, abolishing student fees, better education and
more anti-social behaviour orders - these are the priorities, and
the list is endless.
Let's put the affairs of Iraq on the back burner, stop robbing the
Iraqis to help our economy and think of our own needs now.
Mohammed Salim, Rochdale.
