Bertha Taylor

MACHINIST at Ilex Mill, Rawtenstall, and Britannia Mill, Haslingden, Mrs Bertha Taylor, of Yewtree Grove, Rawtenstall, died peacefully at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Wednesday 25 June, aged 84.

She was associated with Longholme Methodist Church, Rawtenstall.

Mrs Taylor loved trips to the country with her late husband Harold in their car, and enjoyed knitting and sewing and reading the Free Press on a Thursday afternoon.

She leaves her daughter Jean, son-in-law Graham, cousin Dorothy and family in Croydon, Australia.

Her funeral was on Wednesday 2 July when the Rev Roy Nichols led a service at the chapel of rest before cremation at Accrington. Donations to Rossendale Hospice c/o funeral director: Dawn Johnson for Fred Hamer Funeral Service, Rawtenstall.
