FORMER HGV driver Mr Gordon Munro Prince, of Mayfield Avenue, Haslingden, died at home, aged 82.
Originally from Exeter, he grew up in Birmingham and lived for many years in Lanark, Scotland, before moving to Haslingden in 1966.
He worked at J and E Transport and retired from Ben Barnes, Rawtenstall. He then delivered newspapers to Scotland.
Mr Prince worked at the Holden Arms, Haslingden, and finally retired from working at the Roebuck aged 80.
He leaves his wife Annie, son Gordon, stepdaughters Margaret, Jen, Elizabeth and Lindsay, stepson Robert, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His funeral was on Friday 15 August when the Rev Roger Smith leads prayers at the Pleasant Street Chapel of Rest at 2.30pm before service and cremation at Accrington at 3pm. Family flowers only with donations for Rossendale Hospice c/o funeral director: Josephine Durning for Johnson, Durning and Woods Funeral Service, Haslingden.
