Local artists invited to submit work for 2007 Oldham open exhibition

Gallery Oldham is once again inviting local artists to submit work for its popular Oldham Open exhibition.
The exhibition returns in December and artists who live or work in Oldham borough are invited to submit work.
The Gallery welcomes work in a wide variety of media. This includes drawing, painting, photographs, textiles, ceramics, jewellery, sculpture, film and video.
Anyone interested in submitting work should get in touch with Gallery Oldham on 0161 770 4653 or email galleryoldham@oldham.gov.uk for further details and an entry form. Alternatively, details and the form are available from the Oldham Open exhibition page on the Gallery’s website www.galleryoldham.org.uk
Works should be submitted, accompanied by an entry form, 5 – 10 November, 11am – 4pm. Artists may submit two works and Gallery Oldham will aim to display at least one of these. Only artists who live or work in Oldham are eligible to take part in this exhibition.
Anyone who would like to submit work that may have special requirements, such as a large, heavy sculpture or a video installation, should contact Gallery Oldham by Monday 22 October at the latest to discuss installation.
The Oldham Open is on show at Gallery Oldham 1 December 2007 – 26 January 2008. The exhibition is a great opportunity for visitors to the Gallery to see and buy a wide variety of artworks by local artists and to see the range of skills and talents in the Borough.
