Khusras’ captured in exhibition

AN art exhibition featuring Lahore's gay community will open in February at Manchester's Castlefields Gallery in conjunction with Shisha.
Artists Qasim Riza Shaheen's Khusra: Stains and Stencils is his first gallery-based, solo show.
It is the culmination of an extensive, two-year period of research and relationship building with the khusra community in Lahore, Pakistan.
Khusra is the term for gay men in South Asia.
The work is represented in multi-media ranging from photography, video, installation and performance.
Exhibition takes place between 16 February - 1 April at the gallery at 2 Hewitt Street, Manchester.
