Sinister power of Indian 'Dogs'

THIS in the bloody Bollywood version of Quentin Tarantino's Hollywood hit 'Reservoir Dogs'.

The film was shot entirely in the US with all the important technicians from Hollywood, from cinematographers to stunt co-ordinators.

Right from the outset the film grips the viewer. It takes him into the world of criminals showing how ambitious plans of pulling off the heist to end all heists turn sour due to the mistrust.

Despite the large Hollywood input Bollywood does make its mark with some strong performances from the cast

Amitabh Bachchan plays veteran bad man, Major. This is a first for India's greatest, know for his sympathetic family based rolls. But Bachcchan gets right into character and turns in a truly sinister performance.

Sanjay Dutt plays the reckless trigger-happy guy with flamboyance while Sunil Shetty too is subtle capturing his characters mix of villainy with slight guilt over his criminal activities.

Mahesh Manjrekar gives is wildly energetic as a drug addict who lives life on the edge. His sequences with Bachchan and with Dutt are well scripted with some impressive histrionics from Manjrekar.
