Rupak’s back

BRIT Asian Bollywood newcomer Rupak Mann is working on "top
secret" project after completing her debut in Mahesh Bhatt's
'Nazar'.
The film gave Rupak enough confidence and experience to venture out
and do her own film and she is already in talks with both Mahesh
and Pooja Bhatt to work on a joint venture.
Said Rupak, who played the protagonist's surrogate mother figure in
'Nazar': "I really can't go into much detail about my project, but
let's just say it is going to be big, it is very close to my heart
and I have the full support of Maheshji.
"They really liked my ideas and for the past couple of months I
have been working on this full time.
"After finishing Nazar I decided to come back and see what I can do
here. But I missed the hustle and bustle of the Bollywood film
industry, so I am now creating my own unique way of becoming part
of it."
Rupak stole the nation's heart last year after winning Channel 4's
Bollywood Star competition.
The prize was a role in a Bhatt film.
Said Rupak: "Now I know that dreams really come true if you believe
in them. I know it sounds a little cheesy but I have become a great
believer of dreams and everyone should follow theirs. I would never
have imagined that I would one day be working on a Bollywood film
set with some of the industries top people, but it happened.
"It was hard work, I use to get my lines wrong, I even got stared
at and laughed at because of my weight, but it didn't hinder me one
little bit.
"Sometimes I would sit waiting for my turn to read the lines, and
it would feel surreal at times.
"I also went to many parties and met many of my favourite actors
including John Abraham who showed an interest in working with
me.
"I met Vivek Oberoi, who is actually quite short in real life, but
very nice.
"Nazar however didn't do too well, but it was great to see my name
in the credits when the film finished."
