Car was worth it
24/ 2/2006
THE vintage Chevrolet car cost a Bollywood producer much more
than actors Amrita Rao and Shahid Kapoor for the film 'Vaah! Life
Ho To Aisi'.
The flying car in this fantasy film was priced at a whopping Rs. 2
crore.
Director, Mahesh Manjrekar said: "The Chevrolet used in my film
plays an important character.'
"It's a magical car and it's used throughout the film. It's not
just a prop, but rather a character in my film."
I have tackled various genres of cinema in the past and have always
nursed the desire to make a fantasy film for kids. I think India is
the only country, which produces the minimum number of films for
kids. Though we have a potential market for such films, we stay
away from taking risks." he added.
