HINDI flim song lovers could be transported into a world of Bollywood at an evening of music by singer Kavita Krishnamurthy as she sings hit numbers at the Brigewater Hall.
Kavita was the voice of Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai in hits including 'Maar Dala' from the film Devdas and 'Nimbooda Nimbooda' from yhe film 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.'
She will be accompanied by some of the Bollywood film industry's finest musicians, presenting some of the most popular hits of her career, spanning from the 80s up to the present day.
During the 80s and 90s Kavita rocketed to stardom as a gifted and versatile singer in the Indian film industry.
Equally at home singing popular tunes and romantic ballads as well as more complex art music.
Her artistic skills resulted in a creative partnership with the violin virtuoso L.Subramaniam, which eventually evolved into a romantic partnership at the end of the 90s.
