Tameside radio brings Bollywood flavour

A NEW Asian radio presenter is bringing a bit of Bollywood glamour to Tameside.

Imran Hussain recently launched his Asian Vibes show on Tameside Radio.

After hosting Eid, Christmas and New Year’s Eve specials, he’s looking forward to getting back to basics in January.

“I play a mix of Bollywood music and bhangra,” he said.

“And in between we have the latest Bollywood industry news – all the gossip on what the actors and actresses are up to.”

It’s the first time Imran, 24, has tried his hand at presenting, but with a background working as a broadcast journalist for Asian Sound Radio he knows what he’s doing.

“It’s going really well. The first show was great as quite a few of my friends tuned in and sent requests. It was good to know someone was listening!”

Tune in to Asian Vibes on Mondays between 8pm and 9pm on Tameside Radio 103.6FM.
