Bobby Friction hands over the radio mic to Jay Sean on Monday

BOBBY Friction will be handing over the radio mic to the hottest Asian artists on BBC Asian Network.

Starting Monday  10 March at 10pm, Bobby Friction will hand over his radio mic and headphones to four of the Asian music industry's hottest talents.

Headlining the 'Friction Takeover's are RnB's Jay Sean and female MC Lost Souljah, the legendary Asian Dub Foundation, Electro Desi rockers Swami and Hip-Hop collective Sona Family.

Each artist will be presenting two shows in total, on the dates below.

Jay Sean who has had chart success with his single 'Ride It' and is now releasing 'Maybe' said of his national radio show debut,

"I'm really looking forward to it. Bobby is a legend of course so I can't wait to jump in his chair for a couple of weeks and tear down the good reputation he's built for this show ! ...Nah, its a privilege to stand in for him and should be some jokes alongside some good tunes."

The presenting details are as follows:


  • Mon 10th/17th March - Jay Sean and Lost Souljah

  • Tues 11th/18th March - Asian Dub Foundation (2200-Mid only)

  • Thurs 13th/20th March - Swami

  • Fri 14th/21st March - Sona Family
