Cartoon shows a Prophet of peace

Muhammed (pbuh) The Last Prophet, at Odeon cinemas
THIS groundbreaking film is set around 1400 years ago a time of
the birth of Islam.
It tells the story of the events that led to the rise of a this new
religion. It grew out of the Arabian desert and spread to four
continents attracting 1.6 billion devotees around the world.
This movie aims to introduce the story of Islam and its Prophet to
new generations through an appealing and accessible medium of
animation.
In keeping with tradition, the Prophet is never seen but sound and
cinematography are employed in the telling life story and struggle
to found Islam.
The drama is enhanced with a stunning soundtrack by composer
William Kidd.
The release of the film has come soon after the angry row over the
publication in Denmark and other countries of a cartoon Prophet
Muhammad wearing a bomb-shaped turban.
But this cartoon will not offend, apart from the absence of an
image of the Prophet, it is a simple and sympathetic portrayal of
Islam which features Muhammad as a peace-loving leader.
Muhamed Ali, head of Islam Channel, who brought the film to the UK,
said "We wanted to educate the public about the Prophet of
Islam."
A group of up to 200 religious leaders and scholars of the Muslim
Action Committee (MAC) attended a special screening in Birmingham
where the film got a great reception.
'Muhammed (pbuh) the Last Prophet' has been in production for two
years and includes more than 196,000 drawings.
Designing for the film took place at RichCrest Animation in
Burbank, California under the watchful eye and careful hand of the
film's executive producer, a devout Muslim, characters and
backgrounds were created to bring ancient Mecca and its people to
life.
'Muhammad (pbuh) The Last Prophet' is a pioneering film which will
bring a new peace and understanding about Islam and its Prophet to
the modern world.
