'Kabhie Khushi, Kabhie Gham' (Sometimes you're sad, sometimes you're happy) by Sony Music

I'VE seen clips of this film on B4U and it looks really good so naturally I bought the soundtrack thinking it will be quite mind blowing.

What a disappointment!

"Khabie Khushi Khabie Gham" is being promoted as one of the most expensive Bollywood flicks ever to be made, mainly because of its all star cast which includes Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh, Hrithik, Kareena, and Kajol.

It's a pity they did not spend as much cash and time on the music. Most of the tracks are sad but not in a moving way, they simply depress you.

You have the original, 'Khabie Khushi….' song and then you have a sad version 1 and a sad version 2 of the same song. Unless you feel like being brought down from a high I recommend you skip all three.

The best offering was, 'Bole Chudiyan,' which I think most people will like straightaway. It's got a strong beat that people will like to dance to in groups.

The only other passable number was, 'You are my Soniya,' which has a bit of Latin influence - again this was a dance track - but the English lyrics just don't sound right mixed with Hindi music.

'Say Shava Shava', is sang by Big B himself - nothing different, just your usual mild Bhangra piece.

Lets hope the film is much better than the music.
