WHY GO

In its previous incarnation on the other side of town, Aspecto became a stalwart of the Manchester style scene, notching up 23 years as an independent store on Bridge Street.

Now that it's had a chance to settle into its new home at the front of the ever more exciting Triangle, Store Detective is glad to report it's simply bigger and better than before. Fans of the much-loved menswear store will know it for its interesting mix of labels, exclusive new arrivals, and in-the-know advisors. And that all remains.

Here, for instance, they were the first to stock edgy denim label G-Star, which proved so successful it now has its own store in the Arndale. And there's plenty more on offer here to suit that funky young market. With cult brand Stussy exclusive here in Manchester.

For the, let's say older and more sophisticated crowd, there's still plenty of style to choose from. Fancy a bit of movie star glamour? Check out the Belstaff range or funky Penguin tops, as favoured by Brad Pitt no less.

And finally, something for the ladies - who have a small but cool range of footwear to choose from. With Uggs - and new Ugg flip-flops - proving super-sellers to the girls.
