A TOWN centre hairdressing salon is attracting star clientele from  far and wide.

DJ and ‘Big Brother’ star Kate Lawler showed up at Jamilla Paul in Drake Street for a new ‘do’.

She began going there after becoming friends with stylist Nicki Mehta.

Nicki, aged 23, said: “I met Kate through another friend, Mistress Da Funk, a DJ from Rochdale who now has a slot on Radio 1.

“I’ve been doing Kate’s hair for just over a year. I spent the summer with her in Ibiza, which was fantastic.

“I’ve met so many new people and done a lot of networking.

“Me and Kate are really good friends. Once she had her hair done in London and really didn’t like it, now she always asks for me.”
