Businessman joins Lib Dems

A MARLAND businessman joined the Liberal Democrats at a dinner party attended by Rochdale MP Paul Rowen.
Aasim Rashid, of Chamber House Drive, hosted the event for 25 members of the community at Karim’s restaurant. Various issues were discussed and Mr Rashid expressed his desire to join the party.
He said that he hoped to work with the community and focus on day to day problems.
He praised Mr Rowen for his efforts working with the community. Being a member of the Asian community, Mr Rashid said that it was his duty to work with all groups.
He thanked everyone who attended the event and added that he hoped to receive continued support from the party.
