Owners go nationwide with pickle promotion

A PAIR of restaurant owners from Rochdale are set to take their cuisine nationwide with the launch of a new product.

Abdul Rouf has been working as an accountant by day and a restaurant manager by night since the first of his joint businesses working with brother and chef Abdul Mosaad opened in the eighties.

And now with a chain of restaurants under their belts the businessmen have decided to spread the tastes from their restaurant into the homes of Rochdale with the launch of Hot Naga Pickle.

The pickle is designed to add flavour to quick cuisine or gourmet meals; it can be used with salads, sauces or hot snacks.

Already tried and tested in their chain of Vedas restaurants located in Todmorden, Bolton and Chill Factore in Manchester, Hot Naga Pickle was launched in Rochdale’s local food stores last month.

But the brothers have already got big plans to follow this initial success with a whole range of food products distributed across all the major supermarkets.

Mr Rouf said: "It’s only been a week since we released the Hot Naga Pickle and it’s been selling pretty well. We’re already in talks with one of the large supermarkets.

"The pickle can add quite a bit of flavour to a lot of different foods. We’ve been using it in the restaurant for the last five years and the dish that we use the sauce in at the restaurant is one of our most popular.

"I don’t think the market is saturated at the minute, there aren’t too many products like this on the market and if our customers already like it there’s bound to be many more people that do too."
