He bought Beckham’s boozer

BUSINESSMAN Kishor Kuchhadia came to Manchester to buy an Aston Martin but left owning one of the city's celeb bars.
He and other well heeled entrepreneurs were invited by salesman of the car made famous by James Bond, to the Sugar Lounge on Little Peter Street.
There, property developer Kishor got talking to the then owner.
"He told me he was thinking of selling the Lounge, so I made him an offer and ended up leaving the city the owner of its top bar," said 30-year-old Kishor, whose parents fled to Britain from east Africa when Ugandan dictator Idi Amin turned on the Asian community there.
Sugar Lounge 'regulars' include David Beckham and onetime teamate Rio Ferdinand. Wane Rooney has supped a pint or two there since his transfer to United. Boxer Audley Harrison has also dropped in as has singer Justine Timberlake and actress Cameron Diaz.
Kishor hopes to keep his stary customers loyal with an expensive refurbishment which features a £40,000 floor inlaid with solid gold chippings.
"I am really excited about the venture," he said. "Manchester's fame as a happening place has spread far and wide and I am thrilled to be a part of it.
"I already own a portfolio of property that includes several bars but this one is the best yet and I have plans to open a Sugar Lounge in London and Birmingham."
Kishor always wanted to be his "own man" and started early. "I was a wheeler and dealer in the school playground and could not wait to go into business by myself, not like my dad who was a regular nine to five guy," he quipped.
