Levenshulme girls all smiles

THIS group of girls from Levenshulme High School were all smiles after opening their GCSE results.
The talented students, pictured from left, are Yusura Hassan, Nasro Dirow, Aneesa Akram and Aisha Begum.
Aisha Begum said: "We are really pleased with our results. It’s a great relief to have them out of the way after a long wait."
This year the school achieved a 53 per cent pass rate for grades A* to C.
Peter Davies headteacher at Levenshulme High School said: "Our girls did really well this year and some of them achieved 11 or more GCSEs at grades A* to C.
"These are our best-ever results, with more girls than ever achieving five or more GCSEs at A* to C."
