Enterprising graduates get into first gear

5/10/2007

Two ambitious University Centre Oldham graduates have made their first successful move towards a lucrative career.

Local lads, Tasin Hussain and Jebran Rashid, have recently been accepted on to the highly competitive graduate management training scheme with Enterprise Rent-a-Car. They had their first introduction to the well known car rental company at a careers fair held at University Centre Oldham.

Twenty-six year old, Tasin Hussain of Werneth, a graduate in Business Computing with Multimedia explains: "I went along to the careers fair at UCO and met with Enterprise Rent-a-Car. I had an initial meeting with Abul Shama, the Graduate Recruitment Supervisor and I was advised to apply online for the graduate management training scheme, from there I went on to the interview and assessment stages.

"I was delighted to discover that I had been successful and I am now based at the branch in Oldham. I know how difficult it can be for graduates to get their first role in employment and Enterprise Rent-a-Car has given me the chance to move forward with my career. It’s a fantastic scheme and I am learning all about the business and how it operates within this sector. I am looking forward to working with the company and reaching my potential."

Werneth based, Jebran Rashid aged 23, is enjoying his Graduate Training post at the Enterprise Rent-a-Car branch at Manchester Airport. Having graduated UCO with a BA(Hons) in Business and Management, Jebran was also keen to secure a position within a successful company, and was already aware of Enterprise Rent-a-Car before he met with them at the careers fair.

He said: "It has been a big transition from student life to the business environment, but I am really enjoying it. I am delighted to have been given this chance straight from University and everyone in my family is really proud. I am looking forward to developing my role within Enterprise Rent-a-Car and I feel ready to face new challenges, whatever they may be."

Enterprise Rent-a-Car graduate management training scheme offers graduates the opportunity to fulfil their potential and progress rapidly to higher level management - from trainee to Branch Manager in as little as two years! The Scheme also further develops a graduate’s ability to flourish within the modern business environment and provides the excellent starting point for a successful career.
