Bronze for diamond duo

CREATIVE pupils in Accrington have received bronze awards after designing a collection of jewellery as part of a nationally recognised qualification.

Girls at Moorhead Sports College took part in the science and technology project over a 10-week period and have all received the bronze Crest Award.

Pupils Pavanjeet Sidhu and Aleela Azhar were invited to go down to London to represent the North West Region at the end of the project and both were asked to speak about the work they had done.

Assistant headteacher Kath Wilson said: "Everyone really enjoyed the project and they have all done very well. The pupils worked every Tuesday evening after school so it was hard work but well worth it."
