Cabbies licences revoked

SIX Oldham cabbies have been convicted of plying for hire and having no public hire insurance.
Mohammed Hafizur Rahman, 29, of Belmont Way, Chadderton, lost his licence after seven instances of illegally picking up fares.
Mohammed Shopik Miah, 51, of Vale Street, also had his licence revoked after three instances of illegally picking up passengers. The panel also noted a previous conviction for the same offence.
Zahid Hussain, 30, of Lynn Street, was suspended for six months following three instances of illegally picking up.
Ibrar Hussain, 30, of Sidlaw Close, and Ajmal Mahmood, 27, of Kelverlow Street, were both suspended for two months, while Mohammed Sirajul Islam, 39, Oriel Avenue got a one-month ban.
