Twelve charged following drugs raids

TWELVE people from Bolton have been charged following a police operation to smash a major drugs ring in the town.
Twenty-two warrants were executed at address across Bolton on Wednesday (see related article).
Cash, four vehicles, drugs with an estimated street value in excess of £40,000 and an imitation firearm were recovered.
Two people have been released without charge, five have been bailed pending further inquiries and one person remains in police custody for questioning.
Those charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs are: Jashu Halai, aged 27 of Jasmine Court, Anil Halai, 24, of Newport Road, Louise Johnson, 27, of Victoria Grove, Roshan Patel 25, of Pedder Street, Saqub Zoheb Dad, 24, of Bedford Street, Majid Aziz, 28, of Lawn Street, Mohammed Arfan Saqiq, 24 of Gilnow Road, Lance Harrison, 20 of Gilnow Lane, Mark Harrison, 21of Gilnow Lane, Tabarek Majid, 19 of Lawn Street, Mujahid Ashraf, 25 of Bradford Street.
A 17-year-old boy has also been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
All are due to appear at Bolton Magistrates' Court today, Friday 18 April 2008.
