Duo on Audi theft charge

TWO men have been charged in connection with the theft of a £56,000 car in Accrington.

Imran Khan, 20, of Kensington Street, Bradford, and Shaheryar Rehman, 21 of Highfield Gardens, Bradford, appeared before Hyndburn magistrates.

They were both arrested on Saturday (26 April) morning in Bradford by West Yorkshire Police.

The arrests relate to an alleged burglary which happened in the early hours of the morning on Saturday when an address on Foxwood Chase, Accrington, was broken into and a gold chain worth £1,800 was stolen along with an Audi RS4 worth £56,000.

Both men were charged with burglary and breach of bail and Khan was also charged with dangerous driving, disqualified driving and failing to stop for police.

Both men were remanded in custody until 6 May awaiting a bail application and to fix a date for committal.
