Missing teenager could be in Bolton

POLICE in Preston are appealing for information following the disappearance of a young girl who they believe could be in the Bolton area.

Maryi Razaq, aged 15 years, was last seen by her family in Deepdale, Preston last Tuesday.

Maryi left the family home late Tuesday evening and has not been seen or heard of since and police are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety.

Maryi is described as 5’ 5", Asian, has very long black hair which is often worn in a ponytail, she wears a white ring, white necklace, silver watch and bracelet.

At the time she went missing it is not known what clothes she was wearing, although officers believe she is in possession of a JD sports bag, a traditional Asian dress, pants and shoes.

Detective Inspector Dave McKenna from Lancashire Police said: "Due to the fact that Maryi is only 15 years of age and has been missing since late Tuesday evening we are becoming very concerned for her welfare. I am appealing to anyone who has seen or heard from Maryi since Tuesday night to make contact with us at Preston on 01772 203203.

"Alternatively if Maryi hears this appeal I would urge her to contact me directly as I need to know that she is safe and well."
