Curry king Nesar out to show he is hot stuff at restaurant
13/10/2008
A TOP curry chef is back behind the hotplate of a Rawtenstall restaurant.
Nesar Ali has returned to perform his culinary wizardry as the new owner of Ashoka Restaurant, on Bacup Road, where he was head chef seven years ago when the venue first opened.
The talented chef originally came to Rawtenstall after working in some of London’s top Asian restaurants, including the Red Fort and Gaylord, and has returned following a two-year stint at Burnley’s Ashoka Restaurant.
Now back on his Valley stomping ground, Nesar also plans to whet the appetites of local charities and not-for-profit groups by inviting them to use the restaurant for fund-raising curry nights.
Ashoka will provide tickets, hosting and food and give half of the ticket sale proceeds back to the charity for its funds.
For more information or to book a charity fund-raising curry evening at Ashoka call 07711 123 371.
