Three men arrested after a pensioner was racially abused and thrown into a pond in Stockport have been bailed.
Shortly after 2.35pm on Friday 19 June 2009, police were called to Vernon Park, Stockport following reports a man had been assaulted.
Officers discovered a 76-year-old Asian man had been racially abused and thrown into the water.
Three men aged 20,23 and 28 were arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated assault causing grievous bodily harm (Section 20 Assault) and have been bailed until 30 July 2009.
