MAHBOOB Hussein at his restaurant

EUROPE'S biggest Asian restaurant is a smash hit with the punters says owner Mahboob Hussain.
The buffet dinning room at the Nawab has been filled to capacity on many nights since it opened in Longsight, Manchester, and there are already 10 bookings for the magnificent 600-seater banqueting hall.
Despite many last minute hitches Mr Hussain opened his restaurant in a converted cinema on Stockport Road on time.
The interior immaculately preserves all the art-deco features of the original building built in the 1930s when it opened as the Regal cinema.
Particularly impressive are the light and elegant reception area and the ceiling of the banqueting hall which was uncovered and restored by Mr Hussian. The project has already attracted articles in trade magazines.
Said Mr Hussain, who has restaurants in the UK and Spain: "It was an expensive and nerve racking experience but the end result has made it all worth while. I am proud to own an establishment of this quality."
