Jealous mistress fought with her ex-lover’s wife

WHEN a former mistress confronted the wife of her ex-lover in
his home there was a cat fight that spilled out onto the street, a
court heard.
Magistrates were told that 24-year-old mother-of-one Shenaz Khan of
Reservoir Street, Rochdale visited the home of her ex-boy-friend
and had seen him disappear into the house.
The ex-boy-friend's wife, Shazir Tabassum, appeared and there was
shouting and screaming outside the house in Mark Street.
The husband ordered his wife to close the door but Khan jammed it
with her foot and grabbed hold of the wife dragging her
outside.
The two women fought. Khan pulled Mrs Tabassum's hair andscratched
her face. She was pulled inside the house by her husband but the
shouting and screaming continued with Khan banging on the front
door.The wife suffered scratching, scarring and a cut inside her
mouth.
Defending Khan, Mike Salt said she was a woman of previous
good
character who had been in a relationship with the complainant's
husband and had lived with him for several months until
January.
He had gone back to his wife and Khan had gone over to speak to
him.
He said: "There was a scuffle between the two ladies and although
Khan accepts responsibility for placing her foot in the door she
also had injuries inflicted on her."
He added that though Khan had scratches on her face she accepted
prime responsibility for the fracas.
Magistrates gave Khan a conditional discharge for twelve months but
ordered her to pay £125 compensation.
