Bhutto hopes for election return

PAKISTAN'S former prime minister Benazir Bhutto told an Oldham
crowd that she would like to contest the next election in the home
country.
Mrs Bhutto, who has been living in self-imposed exile in he UK
since 1999 when she left Pakistan to avoid corruption charges, was
invited to Oldham by the local Pakistani People's Party.
Her meeting at the Pakistani Community Centre in Glodwick, was
attended by over 1000 people.
Mrs Bhutto told the audience she was waiting for the right moment
to go back to Pakistan and revive her political career.
She also spoke about the Kashmir conflict and emphasised that it
was important for both Pakistan and India to keep positive
dialogue.
Said Oldham PPP president Chowdhary Abdul Razaq: "Mrs Bhutto said
she was very concerned about the Kashmiri issue and understood that
if peace was to be achieved, India and Pakistan need to stay in
dialogue. She said the people of Kashmir need to have a say in
their future and should be involved in any discussions about
Kashmir.
"She also spoke about her concerns of the current state of Pakistan
with too much violence."
