May our mother rest in peace. Ameen

MURDERED Zainab Begum was a devoted mother-of-six - her last act
before meeting her end was to make sure her youngest daughter got
safely to school.
She returned home and met her nemesis - son-in-law Muhammad Arshad
who coveted her house and savings.
The six daughters now face life as orphans. What must make it worse
is that two of them married their own mother's killer, Arshad
pictured right) and his accomplice and brother, Mohammed Khan (see
page 7).
After Arshad and Khan were jailed the sisters made this statement
via family police liaison officer PC Steve Cox.
'Bismillah Hirahma Niraheem - In the name of Allah, The Most
Merciful, The Beneficient.
On 13 January this year, our lives were devastated when our mother
Zainab Begum was taken away from us in the most brutal and untimely
manner imaginable.
All six sisters stand united in our tribute to our wonderful
mother. She was our mother, father, life and whole world, she will
live on inside us forever.
No-one can ever take her place and she will remain in our hearts as
she left us with the light of knowledge and the virtue to lead a
complete Islamic life. We are proud to be her daughters. Mum was
the one person we all shared our feelings and thoughts with, who we
turned to in our times of need - and she was always there,
shielding us from the bad and guiding us.
We will remember her every single day that passes as a devoted
Muslim parent who treated everyone with respect. Our mother leaves
behind her good deed and the memories of her pride in us and the
fact that she remained a humble but brave Muslim woman despite the
many difficulties she faced in life.
Today's verdicts mean that, having been denied the basic right to a
funeral and burial, Zainab Begum has received some justice and we,
her family, can
take solace from that and perhaps, begin the process of rebuilding
our lives.
Finally, we would like to praise the justice system and say thank
you to Lancashire Police, and in particular, the entire
investigation team for the professional and supportive manner in
which they have conducted themselves and the investigation
