CHEETHAM Hill CC eased to an away victory over Denton West last weekend.

Hill won the toss and bowled first in overcast conditions.

It proved to be a good decision, with Indian professional Kutty (4-38) and F Sheazad (6-42) bowling West out for only 80.

Hill’s reply always looked comfortable, and openers Riaz (32) and Anwar (50) saw them home in 18 overs.

Anwar finished the match with a six to reach his 50 off only 55 balls.

Hill are now third in the table with six games to go.
