LAST weekend’s Oldham and District Cricket Alliance fixtures saw both of the top two teams dropping points.

The match at Star Eleven saw visitors Waterhead Methodist bat first and reach 144-9 from their allocated overs, Daubney making 46 and Palfreyman 38.

In reply, Star Eleven reached their target with two wickets in hand as Imran hit an unbeaten 68 to take them to 148-8 and four points.

An exciting game at Copthorne saw the home side bat first against Jay Hind and be dismissed for 176 with half-centuries from Ahmed (67) and Hasnain Bukhari (53).

Dinesh took 3-30 for Jay Hind who were 159-8 at the close of their innings, Viral having made 52 and Zahoor Raza taking 3-27.

Jasim hit an unbeaten 102 to help AJK recover from 61-6 to reach 197-6 at Newtonhurst who ended their reply on 138-8, Miller making 50 and Kashy returning figures of 3-29.

Friends recorded a convincing victory at St Mary’s HC as they skittled the home side for 42 and then reached their target with eight wickets in hand, finishing on 48-2.

Another good reply saw Greengate record a five-point winning draw at Europa Exiles where the home side batted first and totalled 101-8, Hodgson top-scoring with 37 with Simpson taking 3-10 and Jackson 3-28.

Greengate’s reply saw them recover from 54-5 to finish on 105-5 thanks to an unbeaten partnership between Hunter (28 not out) and Jackson (26 not out).

An excellent game at Foresters on Sunday saw the home side make a respectable 204 all out, Kell hitting 53 and Steel 43.

Wright took 3-43 for Radclyffe who were 186 all out in reply despite Johnson’s excellent 80.
