Youth excel in new league

A HAT trick has secured an up and coming Rochdale side a league cup.
Wardleworth FC Youth squad (pictured) is only a season old but they are already collecting silver.
Manager of the senior side decided to enter the new squad in the 20-week long Ashton six-a-side league.
Three goals from Sajjad Sher and one from Mohammed Ibrahim was just enough to beat Leg Ends 4-3 in a nail-biting final game.
This was a impressive debut by the Rochdale boys. They have only lost one game throughout the competition and manager Qasim Nazir is hoping for even better things in the future.
Said seniors manager Azmat Khan: "Qasim wanted managerial experience so we put him in charge of the youth side. He has done a
brilliant job. It is a great stepping stone for the younger players to get into the senior team. Wardleworth is always growing and players are filtering through very well. The Ashton league is a brilliant idea. Our victory in it is a great confidence booster for the lads".
